The Optimus keyboard has hundreds of tiny OLEDs embedded in the keys, making the whole keyboard a sort of dynamic display. You can change what's displayed on the keys, meaning you can switch between keyboard layouts instantly. The Optimus keyboard also lets you display pictures in some apps, instead of using the toolbar, you can press the key on your keyboard!
No word on price yet, but I'd expect this to sell for at least $200 when it's released. The designer's website also has some weird designs, including an arrow shaped mouse which is apparently 'in stores now'.
What is OLED technology?

Two videos made me laugh today. Some idiot playing Counter Strike spends five minutes shouting insults at a guy blocking a corridor. Maybe he thinks if he keeps shouting and insulting the guy, he'll realise the errors of his ways.

In this one, a PETA (RSPCA in the US) activist goes to an animal testing lab on a fear-factor type show. I can't make out whether the rat man's a real guy in a costume or some kind of animatronic puppet. Either way, I want one!

Using a simple 6-line shell script and the popular wget command line tool, I configured two computers on two different DSL connections to begin downloading all 260,000 wishlists in increments of 25,000. Each group of 25,000 wishlists took about four hours to download, for a total download time of less than one day.

Using a pair of 5-year-old computers, two home DSL connections, 42 hours of computer time, and 5 man hours, I now had documents describing the reading preferences of 260,000 U.S. citizens.
Impressive, but I don't see how the Amazon reading habits of every geek in America would be of much use to anyone. Unless they're buying copies of 'Communism for Dummies'…

Stupid video of the day goes to the Chronic-what?-cles of Narnia, another stupid video made by Americans with too much time on their hands.
The names planned for the next generation, post Pentium processors from Intel have been published on Wikipedia and Reuters. The Pentium name was first used in 1993 as a sucessor for the 486. Intel didn't want to use 80586, so they instead used Penta (Greek: 5). It seems they're planning on eventually releasing an eight core desktop CPU.

Sharon Tendler, a millionaire from England, married the love of her life this week: Cindy the dolphin.
Cindy squeaked his vows at an Israeli resort Wednesday and Tendler, a rock concert promoter from London, fed him some mackerel in return.
After giving her groom a big, wet kiss, Tendler was thrown into the water to swim with her slippery spouse.
Tendler said the wedding was one of the happiest moments of her life and she was looking forward to having a moment alone with her beau.
"It was everything and more", said Tendler after the ceremony. "I am just waiting for everyone to leave so we can have a private moment.”
Tendler said that is was love at first sight when she met Cindy 15 years ago.
I could understand an American woman doing this, but a Brit!..

At fullmoon.nu, Harry Stottle has described an experience he had where he met God. It's a bit philosophical, and from the article I don't know whether he's describing actually meeting God or just remembering an acid trip.
